Biography

Edwina ‘Eddie’ Bone broke through to the senior squad after two years in Hockey Australia’s women’s development program. An identical twin, she progressed through the junior ranks with the Canberra Strikers alongside fellow Hockeyroo Anna Flanagan.

Claiming silver medals at the World Cup and Champions Trophy and gold at the Commonwealth Games in 2014, Bone established herself as a regular in the Hockeyroos’ defence after being selected for all major international tournaments in 2015.

Nominated as the Hockeyroos’ backup DJ, Bone steps into the spotlight playing the 90s classic hits if teammate Anna Flanagan’s phone battery croaks.

Busy training schedules limit time spent with partner Josh, labelled ‘boyfriend of the year’ for making the move from Canberra to Perth with her to join the squad.
