Biography

Not to be confused with the Australian TV actress and two-time Gold Logie award winner, Georgie Parker is the Hockeyroos’ resident muso and jazz fanatic. Her love for music developed over her school years when she learnt to play the piano and trumpet and joined school choirs.

A journalism and public relations student, Parker played her first game of hockey on her eighth birthday. She discovered her love for the sport and soon began her progress up the ranks. She is known for her signature skill, the highly effective back-stick tomahawk.

A country girl from Berri – the same town as teammate Karri McMahon - she now makes the most of a coastal life in Perth.
