Biography

Having made her debut at 17, Georgia Nanscawen is the youngest woman ever to play 100 matches for Australia; a milestone reached quicker than any previous centurion. At 21 years and one day old she took the ‘youngest’ title from Karen Smith, who reached her century aged 21 in 2000. Nanscawen’s 100th appearance came on 27 April 2013 in a 3-1 defeat to Korea in Perth.

Nanscawen insists she is also Roger Federer’s number one supporter. Proudly wearing her Roger Federer cap to training and matches, she even named her puppy in honour of the great man.

The proud owner of Little Pippin Designs, she studies graphic design and is a self-declared reality TV fanatic. With her striking red hair, she is an honoured ambassador for the Orangutan Project.
