volunteers are the backbone of local clubs and associations and without their support it is unlikely that Australian hockey would have reached the level of international respect and success that it has done.
Volunteers work hard at ensuring their club members have a positive hockey experience and create the foundation for those participants staying in the sport. A hockey club or association that supports these people has a better chance of recruiting and retaining them, given that most are volunteers.
- Say ‘Thanks’ to your Volunteers: Say thanks to volunteers within your own club or association for all their hard work by sending an e-card or by presenting them with an official 'Thanks Coach/ Official' certificiate.
- Volunteer Job Descriptions: Job descriptions for every volunteer position in your hockey club, from the Club President to the Ground Manager.
