The Australian Hockey League (AHL) is Australia's premier domestic hockey competition. In 2008 the men's and women's competitions will be played over two weeks in a championship format.
The 2008 Men's competition will be played in Canberra from 25 February to 8 March, while the Women's competition will be played in Perth from 24 March to 5 April. Both competitons will consist of seven rounds of regular competition followed by two rounds of finals.

This year looms as one of the most exciting years in the competition's history with the states not only vying for the championship, but the players battling it out for a spot on the national team in the lead-up to Beijing.
