Hockey Australia is proud to launch our new framework. Our framework has been developed in partnership with Sport Australia, and our State & Territory partners. The new framework shifts to a matrix model, that allows for the learner to take their own journey in learning. This new framework will support the community in creating safe, welcoming and inclusive environments.

With the shift to our new Framework, we have ensured that community members who held a former accreditation, are recognised in this new system.
Our new framework supports the modern approach to Coach & Official Development.
Since 2020, Hockey Australia and State & Territory partners have been working with the Australian Sports Commission to adopt a new way of looking at education. The former framework assumes that the learner whats to progress vertically, meaning that if you want to be the best Hookin2Hockey coach you can be, you must do a Level 3 or Advanced Accreditation.
With this new model, learners can explore & engage with learning that is relevant to them and their environment.
Coach & Officials Development Model
Behind our new framework, sits the Coach & Officials Development Model. This new way of looking at development allows the learner to identify key areas to improve when it comes to their coaching & officiating. Hockey Australia has developed all of our learning content based on this approach.
When you log into HockeyEd for the first time and begin engaging in our online courses, you will note that all of our modules are built around the new model. By doing this, we have ensured that coaches & officials can understand what area of learning they have progressed in, and identify new places to explore in their learning journey.
