The players, coaches and managers to represent Australia in four Men’s age divisions at the upcoming Masters Hockey World Cups in Tokyo have been selected.

The Hockey Australia Masters Committee announced the following Men’s teams who will compete in Tokyo, Japan from 19-29 October 2022:

  • Over 60 Men
  • Over 65 Men
  • Over 70 Men
  • Over 75 Men

The teams were selected following the recent Masters Invitational Event in Sydney and the call for online player nominations.

In announcing the teams, HAMC emphasises participation in the tournament is pending approval by Hockey Australia and the continual monitoring of the COVID situation internationally.

The viability of teams travelling to their respective World Cups may be affected by risk assessments undertaken by Hockey Australia, the possibility of changing conditions due to COVID in the locations hosting the events and any decisions made by World Masters Hockey.

HAMC congratulates the players selected and thanks everyone who nominated for selection. Further details will be provided to those selected in due course.

As announced on 3 March, the Over 40 Men’s team is participating in the 2022 World Cup in Nottingham, UK from 12-21 August.
