Back our stars: Bartram and Colwill nominated for FIH Hockey Stars awards 2026
Two Hockeyroos nominated in the FIH Hockey Stars Awards 2026. The stars are shortlisted – now it’s your turn to vote!

Hockey Australia is excited to announce that Hockeyroos duo Jocelyn Bartram and Claire Colwill have been shortlisted for the FIH Hockey Stars Awards 2026, and the Australian hockey community can help decide the winners.
Voting is open now, with goalkeeper Jocelyn Bartram nominated for FIH Goalkeeper of the Year and rising midfielder Claire Colwill up for FIH Rising Star of the Year. It is a proud moment for two players who have given so much to the green and gold in 2026.
Bartram has long been a rock at the back for the Hockeyroos, bringing calm, experience and world-class shot-stopping to Australia’s defence, including at the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands where she won Goalkeeper of the Tournament. Her nomination for Goalkeeper of the Year is recognition of a standout year between the posts.
For Colwill, this is a second nomination for Rising Star of the Year after she earned a spot on the shortlist in 2024, proof that one of Australian hockey’s brightest young talents is only getting better. Hockeyroos fans will remember her ice-cool penalty stroke against Ireland that sealed World Cup qualification earlier this year, exactly the kind of big-moment nerve that has the hockey world taking notice.
Hockeyroos Head Coach Rhett Halkett said the nominations were thoroughly deserved.
“To have Jocelyn and Claire recognised amongst the best in the world is a proud moment for the Hockeyroos. Jocelyn has been outstanding for us in goal, and Claire is a star of the future who continues to mature and step up in big moments. We know the Australian hockey community will rally in support of their FIH nominations.”
