Burras emerge victorious in the 2025 Sultan of Johor Cup

Congratulations to the Burras who took out the 2025 Sultan of Johor Cup in Malaysia, after beating India in thrilling fashion on Saturday night.

This was the Burras fourth time in a row featuring in the final and it looked destined to be going to shootouts once again with the scores locked at 1-1 deep in the last quarter, then in the 59th minute a PC chance arose and Ian Grobbelaar stepped up and slotted home a signature dragflick for his sixth goal of the tournament to secure the win for the Burras - bringing the Sultan of Johor Cup back to Australia for the first time since 2017.

The Burras are now three time Sultan of Johor Cup Champions, lifting the trophy in 2016, 2017 and 2025. Tasmania's Magnus McCausland also recieved recognition being awarded the Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

The next stop for the Burras is Tamil Nadu, India for the Men's Junior World Cup next month.
