Hockey Australia is building a new Country Hockey Working Group, nominate now

Hockey Australia is establishing a new Country Hockey Working Group to help shape the future of country and regional hockey across the nation, and we want you to be part of it.

The Hockey Australia Country Working Group (HACWG) oversees the strategic direction of country hockey in Australia and is directly involved in the operational delivery and development of the format — including the Hockey Australia Country National Championships, national country representative teams, international tours, and participation and growth initiatives at a national level.

Positions open now:

• Chairperson (3-year term)
• Administration & Communications Officer (2-year term)
• General Working Group Members — up to 4 positions, subject to level of interest (2–3 year terms)

The number of General Member positions filled in this round will depend on the response we receive. Further positions may open in future rounds as the Working Group grows.

Who should apply?

We're looking for people with the skills, knowledge and time to contribute to a newly established governance structure for country hockey — including anyone who has previously served on a Country representative committee or group.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

Administration, event planning and delivery, social and digital media, policy and process development, content development, survey design, and strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Relevant experience in leadership and strategy, communications and stakeholder engagement, governance and compliance, event delivery, or participation and growth initiatives is highly valued.
