Hockey Australia is seeking nominations for three General Member positions on the Events & Officiating Pillar Group of the Hockey Australia Masters Committee (HAMC), and we want you to be part of it.

The HAMC is a permanent committee of the Hockey Australia Board, overseeing Masters hockey nationally through three Pillar Groups: National Teams; Commercial & Growth; and Events & Officiating. The Events & Officiating Pillar Group supports the planning, delivery and continuous improvement of Hockey Australia’s national Masters events — including the Men’s and Women’s Masters Championships — together with the umpiring and technical officiating that underpin them, from appointments and development through to consistent standards across divisions.

Positions open now:

  • General Members, Events & Officiating Pillar Group — 3 positions (3-year terms)

Pillar Group members work alongside the HAMC and Hockey Australia staff to set priorities for Masters events and officiating, and to help put them into practice at national championships.

Who should apply?

We're looking for people with the skills, knowledge and time to help shape and deliver Masters hockey events nationally — including current and former Masters players, umpires and technical officials, event volunteers, and anyone who has served on a State or Territory Masters committee or event organising group.

Skills and experience we're looking for:

Event planning and delivery, competition and fixture management, umpiring and technical officiating (including appointments, development and assessment), tournament regulations and policy, venue and host liaison, volunteer coordination, risk management and compliance, and strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Relevant experience in governance, stakeholder engagement, officiating pathways, or the continuous improvement of events is highly valued.

How to apply

Complete the short position application form by 5:00pm (AEDT) Thursday 22 October 2026:
