2026 Hockey Australia Masters Indoor Invitational nominations open

Hockey Australia invites Masters athletes, officials, and community members to submit nominations for the December event.

Hockey Australia is pleased to announce that the Masters Indoor Invitational will return to the Illawarra Hockey Centre in December 2026, delivering another high‑quality national Masters competition across two multi‑day events.

The invitational will be contested in age divisions. The divisions will be determined by the team entries received by the closing date. This flexible format mirrors last year’s successful structure and ensures competitive balance across all divisions.

Event Format

The 2026 Invitational will be staged as two separate 4–5 day events, with divisions allocated based on nominations. While individual nominations are welcomed, Hockey Australia Masters advises that team placement cannot be guaranteed. Participants are encouraged to form their own teams or coordinate within their Masters networks to secure entry.

National Squad Selection

The 2026 Invitational is intended to serve as a National Squad Selection event for Australian Masters programs. Squads will be named in December following the invitational.

At this stage, no indoor Masters events appear on the World Masters Hockey (WMH) calendar. Should WMH schedule an indoor competition, teams may be selected from the squads named in December 2026 to attend any newly announced international events.
