Hookin2Hockey is delivered all around Australia and is designed to ensure that participants can safely progress their physical literacy skills, all whilst enjoying the game of hockey.

Hookin2Hockey is delivered across Australia, and the flexibility of the program means that it is delivered all year round. To find your closest program visit the Program Finder.

To register to a program simply head to the Program Finder, select the centre and program you want to join, and click register. Once registered it is recommended you make contact with the program coordinator if you have further questions.

To be confident you are ready to go for your first Hookin2Hockey session ensure you are registered with your local program to enable your pack to be delivered before the start date. Double check the start time and date of your first session, arrive early, dress appropriately for the weather conditions, stay hydrated, and remember to have fun!

Most providers will allow you to come along to a free session before signing up. Contact your nearest centre to discuss this option with them.

Hockey Australia encourages all clubs, associations, schools and sports centres to become a Hookin2Hockey provider. For more information on how to get started, head over to our Provider Portal

When filling out the participant registration there is an option to select if you are willing to assist on field or off field. You can also make contact with your program coordinator to express interest in assisting.

The Hookin2Hockey equipment pack is available for purchase through your registration or by emailing hookin2hockey@hockey.org.au 

The pack includes:

  • 1x Hockey Stick
  • 1x Hockey Ball
  • 1x Shin Pads

  • 28 Inch = player height below 122cm
  • 30 Inch = player height 123cm - 128cm
  • 32 Inch = player height 129cm - 136cm
  • 34 Inch = player height 137cm and above

Wearing a mouthguard is vital for your safety when playing hockey. There are a number of options when it comes to selecting a mouth guard, if you require more information it is recommended that you speak to a dentist.
