Hockey Australia Masters is pleased to announce a new three-year partnership with Cirka, with the Cirka logo to feature on the front of Australian and Australia 2 Masters team shirts across the next three years.

The partnership marks an important period of growth for Hockey Australia Masters, with more than 400 Australian and Australia 2 representatives preparing to travel to the 2026 World Masters Hockey World Cup events in the Netherlands and Belgium in July and August.

As part of the partnership, Cirka’s contribution will provide direct support to Australian Masters teams and their team managers as they prepare for international competition. The funding will assist Australian and Australia 2 Masters teams with costs associated with their World Cup campaign, providing practical support to the broader national contingent.

Cirka is a proudly family owned, Australian organisation, founded by Matthew and Rebecca Bond with more than 37 years’ experience in asset presentation services, including cleaning , catering and other integrated Facilities Management services. From its beginnings in Adelaide, Cirka has grown into a multifaceted organisation servicing major contracts across Australia and the United Kingdom including premium sporting venues, commercial buildings, tertiary education, health and aged care, and accommodation, to name a few.

The alignment between Cirka and Hockey Australia Masters is a natural one. Masters hockey represents a highly engaged national community of athletes, officials, volunteers, families and supporters, many of whom are leaders within their professions, local communities and sporting networks. Cirka’s people-first approach, commitment to service excellence and experience across major venues and events strongly complements the values and national reach of the Masters hockey community.

Hockey Australia Senior Manager – Events, Nick Frayne, said the partnership was a significant step in supporting Masters teams and strengthening the broader Masters program.

“This partnership with Cirka is a fantastic outcome for Hockey Australia Masters and for the Australian and Australia 2 teams preparing to represent their country on the world stage,” Frayne said.

“Masters hockey is one of the strongest and most connected communities in Australian hockey. To have a partner like Cirka come on board and provide practical support to more than 400 Australian and Australia 2 representatives is a meaningful contribution.

“This is also an important time for Hockey Australia Masters more broadly. The recent face-to-face meeting of the Hockey Australia Masters Committee in Sydney culminated in an approved draft of the Hockey Australia One Masters Strategic Plan 2026–2030, which will help guide the next phase of growth, alignment and opportunity across the Masters program.”

Hockey Australia Masters Committee Chair, Matt Trounce, said the partnership reflected the strength and momentum of the Masters hockey community.

“Masters hockey continues to go from strength to strength, and this partnership is another positive step forward for our national program,” Trounce said.

“Our Australian and Australia 2 teams are preparing for a major international campaign in the Netherlands and Belgium, and the support from Cirka will be greatly appreciated across the full contingent.

“We are also expecting a record number of teams to attend the 2026 Hockey Australia Masters Championships later this year, with the Men’s Masters Championships to be held on the Gold Coast, proudly supported by Tourism and Events Queensland and Experience Gold Coast, and the Women’s Masters Championships in Adelaide, proudly supported by the South Australian Tourism Commission.

“That level of participation shows the health of Masters hockey nationally and the opportunity we have to keep building the program.”

Cirka Group CEO, Pat Donato, said Cirka was proud to support Hockey Australia Masters and the athletes, officials and team staff involved in the national Masters program.

“Cirka is delighted to partner with Hockey Australia Masters and support a community that reflects so many of the values we believe in — commitment, teamwork, pride and service,” Donato said.

“Masters hockey brings together people from across Australia who continue to contribute to the game both on and off the field. We are proud that our partnership will provide practical support to Australian and Australia 2 Masters teams as they prepare for the World Masters Hockey World Cup events.

“We look forward to building a strong relationship with Hockey Australia Masters over the next three years and supporting the continued growth of this outstanding national program.”

The 2026 World Masters Hockey World Cup events will be staged across the Netherlands and Belgium, with Australian teams competing across a range of age groups in one of the largest international Masters hockey events on the calendar.

Following the World Cup campaign, attention will turn to the 2026 Hockey Australia Masters Championships, with the Men’s Masters Championships to be held on the Gold Coast from 24 September to 10 October, proudly supported by Tourism and Events Queensland and Experience Gold Coast.

The Women’s Masters Championships will be held in Adelaide from 24 September to 3 October, proudly supported by the South Australian Tourism Commission.

With international representation, a new national strategic plan and record domestic participation on the horizon, the partnership with Cirka comes at a pivotal time for Hockey Australia Masters as the program continues to build momentum across Australia.
