Alison Gaines (Nominations Committee Member)

Experience: Alison Gaines FAICD IDP-C is a governance consultant leading her own Perth based boutique consultancy firm after a long international career as CEO and international leader of an executive search and board advisory firm. She was previously CEO of a member organisation The Law Society of Western Australia. She is an active independent chair and non executive director on Australian boards, including listed companies, an international higher education provider and a State arts company. She has been a chair and non-executive director of several member associations, including the Australian Institute of Management (WA), the Australian Institute of Company Directors (WA Council) and the INSEAD International Directors Network.

She received an honorary doctorate from Murdoch University for her contribution to the University and the community and holds BA (Hons) and BLaws UWA, MA (public policy) Murdoch University and Grad Dip Leg Pract ANU. She is a graduate of the INSEAD Certificate in Corporate Governance and Fellow of the AICD and Life Fellow of AIM (WA).
