Research opportunity – Over 50s in Sport

Thu 09 Sep 2021

World Masters Hockey (WMH) has shared the below research project opportunity with Hockey Australia Masters.

WMH is excited to support a research project being conducted by a doctoral student at the York University, Canada. The research will be examining the role of sport on the psychosocial health and development among older adults (age 50 and above).

It is believed this work is crucial because sport should be promoted for all age groups, and not solely among younger adults. Unfortunately, the pandemic has made it a challenge in recruiting older adults for physical activity-related studies.

To understand the role of sport, a short survey (5-10 minutes) has been created that can be completed online. Participants from any level and type of sport are invited to participate.

Participation in the study is optional and anonymous for all participants. Information collected from the surveys will be stored in a secured file and will not be shared with any third-party entity.

More importantly, personal information related to the identity of participants will not be collected, and anonymity will be maintained. If you wish to take part in this study or can assist in distributing this information, please see the weblink below.
