Hockey Australia Chief Executive Mark Anderson set to be named CEO of Swimming Australia

Author: Josh Givoni/Tuesday, 19 March 2013/Categories: Hockey Australia News

Hockey Australia can confirm our understanding that Mark Anderson is the preferred candidate for the CEO position at Swimming Australia.

Mark is currently overseas undertaking a course at Harvard Business School that was scheduled many months ago.  Mark is still finalising details of his contract, but Hockey Australia had planned to make this announcement jointly with Swimming Australia next week.  Hockey Australia is disappointed that this news has leaked prior to the engagement being finalised, but wishes Mark the very best of success in his new role.

Mark has served as Chief Executive for Hockey Australia since November 2008 and has overseen the implementation of a new constitution and corporate strategic plan, the introduction of new Gold-level partnerships with Fortescue, Ausdrill and ANPHA, the hosting of three successful Champions Trophy hockey tournaments, the creation of the innovative Hockey 9’s tournament in Perth, a strengthening of relationships with key government and state/territory hockey partner organisations and an unprecedented period of financial stability.
