Hockey Australia statement on the Voice

The Hockey Australia Board has provided the following on the Voice and the upcoming referendum.
“The Board of Hockey Australia is committed to improving the inclusivity of our sport and of society more broadly. We believe reconciliation and a Voice to Parliament are important steps towards a more inclusive society and to enable better outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. That’s why we support the Yes position.
As an inclusive sport, we also understand that there will be differing opinions and we respect people’s rights to have their own views. We encourage all members of our sport to take the time to understand the debate, engage in respectful discussion and form their own opinions on how to vote.”
